Now that Discovery is safely delivered to the Smithsonian, I think I can tell the story of how we nearly lost her in July of 2005, and how well intentioned, highly motivated, hard working, smart people can miss the most obvious. It’s tough to know people who have d …

Between js' slang party and McSpocky's April Cruise, I was inspired to go through a few of the shots from my trip to The Big Island & Maui a few years back. There are many more, and I will add some occasionally. Let me know if you have any requests, because I took thousands …

If you've been on the internet today, you probably saw (along with the iPad 3) that those fancy TSA naked body scanners can be easily duped by just carrying something to the side over you body (in a side pocket or an attached pouch). Wait... that's all it takes? Apparently so.

With Rick Santorum surging in Iowa, it is a good time to take a look at his tax agenda. While his revenue plan has received almost no attention, it plays a major role in his “faith, family and freedom” campaign.

Conservatives are so easy to anger these days. Even the most insignificant statement can set off their tempers. If you want to enrage a conservative, I suggest saying the following: 1. A Socialist wrote the Pledge of Allegiance. 2.

Gladly accept your friend's request....now you can talk to me as a friend...I don't take my friends lightly
Aloha! Hope all is going great with you. Mahalo for the comment. I haven't run into you lately, but I'll check out what you are doing on the vine!
I enjoyed reading your comments which were well made and articulated. Well Done!
Hello. I didn't want to reply to your question in the public forum because I couldn't see how my reply would be pertinent to the discussion, but, no, I don't often get back to the US and don't want to. Family obligations call me back, but I don't like (still) the internal or external politics, the necessity of using automobiles, zoning laws (which make taking walks in cities or, especially, suburbs, boring), and many, many other things about New Jersey, where my family lives. If I ever leave Japan for North America, it's going to be to Mexico or (more likely) Canada, but I doubt I'll ever leave Japan. Thank you for asking.
Great seeds and comments.
